I found a rose that i liked took it apart traced out various pedals modified and arranged them in photoshop and then made modifications as needed.

So first off i made the stencil out of paper to get an idea of how large i wanted my petal sections.
You will need to cut out three circles from your scrap metal.
Then cut them out of the metal the same way you did out of paper.
